MOVE Staff Bios

John Luzadder – Director of MOVE

I graduated from Lincoln Christian College with a BA in Preaching in 1996.  After that I spent 15 years as a youth minister in churches in Illinois and New Hampshire.  In 2008, I moved to Joplin, MO to work with Christ In Youth as the Program Director of MOVE summer conferences and Discipleship.  I live there with my wife of ten years, Michelle, and two sons Atticus and Silas.

Chase Allcott – Associate Director of MOVE

I have worked at Christ in Youth for the last 6 years, 4 years with the Jr. High Believe program and I recently switched to the MOVE team. I have been married to the coolest wife in the world, Abbey, since November of 2005 and we live in Webb City, MO.  We don’t have any children, just one crazy golden doodle dog named Bailey.  I graduated from Milligan College in 2003 with a degree in Business and then moved out to Missouri!  Born and raised in Florida, I love Sonny’s BBQ, the Cubs, Rays, and the Auburn Tigers. War Eagle!

Ryan Claborn – Conference Administrator

2009 marks my tenth summer working with MOVE. It took me four summers of being an intern to convince CIY to hire me and since then they haven’t been able to get rid of me. My role has taken several shapes over the years, but currently involves operations oversight and leading the interns for MOVE. An Oklahoman by birth, graduating from Oklahoma STATE University forever cemented my allegiance to that school. A dear friend introduced me to my wife – Brittany – who is a 5th grade teacher in Webb City where she grew up. I enjoy high school football on Friday nights, NASCAR, and blogging about both.

Eric Epperson – Program Administrator

I am a native Oklahoman and currently serve as a programmer and event leader for MOVE conferences. I am a graduate of Ozark Christian College and the University of Oklahoma. I have a wife named Torrie and a dog named Atticus. I love distance running and good conversation but hate breakfast for dinner. That’s right, I hate it.

Chad Brown – Program Administrator

I grew up in the beautiful mountains of Virginia.  After graduating in 2001 from Johnson Bible College, I traveled for several years with a drama/sketch comedy ministry called Traveling Mercies.  In the fall of 2006, I joined the staff at CIY as a programmer/leader for high school events.  I am married to my beautiful wife, Rachel.  We have a 1-year-old puppy, named Fletcher, whom Rachel loves very much.

Jennifer Deardorff – Program Administrator

Jennifer joined CIY in January of 2005 as an Administrative Assistant for Summer Conference. She attended Ozark Christian College for two years and graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor’s in Business with an emphasis in Marketing. Jennifer and Grant married in June of 2003, and they reside in Webb City. She is a native Texan and loves Mexican food.

Krystle Fernandez – Program Administrator

I’m originally from Florida, but I made Joplin, MO my home about three years ago when I came to work at CIY. I was a journalism major in college, but God had other things in mind! I now work with the high school team handling merchandise. It is a privilege and an honor to be called to serve God’s Kingdom, and I am humbled by that often. I enjoy going to the gym, sitting down with a good book and a latte or catching a movie. I’m excited to be making my first trip abroad this fall to Europe. Oh, and Go Gators!

Ben Platt – Program Coordinator

I graduated from Ozark Christian College in 2007. Before coming on staff at CIY I traveled as a college rep, then completed two summer tours as an intern. I came on full time in August of 2007 and have been loving it ever since. (Getting paid to do what you love is great, you should hop on that train)

I recently got married to the most beautiful person in the world. She is a Carl Junction native and is currently employed as a 1st grade teacher in Webb City. I consider my biggest life accomplishment to be converting a once Webb City hater into a Webb City employee. (For those of you who know….it’s a big deal)

Jon Hill – Production Manager

I graduated from Ozark Christian College in 2002 and have worked with CIY since 2000 in one way or another.  I played in a few worship bands, produced the Believe events for a few years and finally transitioned into overseeing production for our high school events.  I am married to my best friend Sara. We have no children…. and have little desire to have any at this point.  I love making pizza, watching Star Trek, and my Apple computers!
